When you walk slowly and keep your eyes moving you can often spot some pretty amazing things in the early spring woods.
I found a clump of Hepatica and, nestled in the dry leaves from last autumn, was a shy Wood Frog. I made this painting in gouache to remember the moment.
The original sold immediately but I am offering a small giclee edition of 50 signed and numbered prints.
The image (8" x 8") is printed with archival inks on a 12" x 12" sheet of heavy, 100% rag, watercolor paper. I hand paint small, gold highlights to the frog's eyes with gold gouache.
Upon request I'm happy to personalize to someone special
